Reloading - Case Lube

Just started reloading.... New to the hobby.

I deprimed and sized 200 cases of 7.62x54r yesterday. As I was doing it, I looked at the Lee lube and thought, "Hmmm.... This reminds me of the old machine shop days. Reminds me of lard and using lard on dies and taps, etc."

Anyone ever use lard for sizing? Good idea, bad idea? Ok in a pinch?

Like I said, I'm new to this and don't want to make a BIG BOOM BLUNDER lol.

The process just brought back memories of tapping 4000 holes in pieces of aluminum. *sigh*

Don't know why it wouldn't work...just be sure to degrease with some dish soap, rinse well, and dry thoroughly before loading.
